Research Interests

My interest lies in uncovering Earth’s structure and studying the physical mechanism of earthquakes.
For my Ph.D. project, I am looking into seismic anisotropy to study Earth's interior structure. I would like to understand the anisotropy from a theoretical view, then investigate some real data sets.
During my B.Sc., my research focused on the lower mantle shear attenuation heterogeneity beneath
Central America. I applied instantaneous frequency matching method
to calculate t* and measure the attenuation.
In Georgia Institute of Technology as a summer intern, I also worked on detecting aftershocks following the 2013 Mw8.3 Sea of Okhotsk deep earthquake by using matched filter technique.
